Painted bunting

I love painted buntings! It’s hard to be sad when you’re lucky enough to spot these magnificent little rainbows in the wild. Nature, what can’t you do?!

They’re a rare sighting in my area, but peak sightings are usually May and June. The females and young males look like tiny limes with wings!
